Got NASH and liver fibrosis (scarring)? Join our paid clinical trial! (Long Beach)

Have you been struggling to improve your liver health? If you have NASH (a type of NAFLD) and were told you have liver fibrosis (scarring), you may be able to join the SYNCHRONY Histology study of an investigational medicine called efruxifermin (EFX), taken as a self-administered weekly shot.
Histology is the study of tissue—in this case, liver tissue—under a microscope.
You will be provided usual standard of care (exercise and dietary counseling) in addition to the study medication.
The aim of this 2-year-long study is to find out more about how safe and effective EFX may be in adults with NASH.
Participation in this clinical trial includes data privacy and identity protection for all those participating.
You may be able to join if you: • Are 18 to 75 years old • Have had a liver biopsy that showed NASH or are willing to undergo a biopsy • Have or ever had type 2 diabetes or 2 out of 4 signs of metabolic syndrome (overweight, have high cholesterol, blood pressure, and/or blood glucose) • Have a body mass index (BMI) ≥ 25.
