The Canon AE-1 Program was the top of the line in the Canon SLR film line in the AE series/ It comes with a 50mm Canon f1.
8 lens and Canon neck strap.
It was the follow up to the wildly popular Canon AE-1.
Camera is in great condition, outstanding, considering its 40 years old.
Most cameras of this era are simply dead or on death's door.
I probably have put just 2 rolls of film through it before spending over $1200 for a Canon F-1 NEW with the AE finder.
You also get a 28mm wide angle lens that allows for macro focusing and a brand new Sigma 80-200mm lens, in the box with a macro filter included.
There is also a Canon power winder.
This camera is in like new condition inside and out.
It does not have the "fatal Canon Squeal" that you find on most used Canons.
Besides the sound, the mirror return slows until it completely stops.
Most out there will require a full service to operate correctly.
These full services will cost you $300 plus.
There simply are not a lot of people that can repair a 40+ year old camera so they can charge whatever they want.
I know you can find a well worn Canon AE-1 cheaper but when you add in the servicing costs, it will probably cost about the same and you'll have a well worn camera.
Adjustable shutter speeds and aperture as well as a fully automated program mode.
Price is $425, firm for the kit.
I see a lot of people paying as much or more for point and shoot cameras.
A SLR is a far better option, especially for the price.
