Neck p/u: Get the classic P-Bass® tone but with better balance between strings.
Note attack is focused and upper-mids are emphasized.
This pickup has the sound of Sting, Dusty Hill of ZZ Top, and Chris Squire of Yes (on ‘Dear Father,’ ‘Astral Traveler’, & ‘Sweet Dreams’ recordings).
Bridge p/u: If your bass playing includes slap, melodic lead lines or chords, you’ll love the Lollar original ‘60s J-Bass® pickup.
It offers a bright and percussive sound with increased mid-range.
Because the bridge is further away from the p/u than the later Jazz models, this p/u has the sound of Jaco Pastorius w/o the nasal tone amongst other great bassists.
Few scratches and one dent.
One screw hole for back control plate is stripped (screw included).
An additional hole remains from a strap button on lower horn.
Lollar is the p/u mfr.
in Washington.
The neck p/u is a redesign of Fender's first reissue the 1968 Precision bass in single coil.
The tone is fat, warm, w/ mid-range punch.
The bridge p/u is the redesign of the Jazz 1960's bridge p/u that has a fuller, warmer tone than the later decades, but still the vintage Jazz thrust.
This p/u is a little further from the bridge to aid in the classic tone.
The strings are round wound strings.
There are independent tone & volume knobs (concentric) for maximum tonal versatility.
The other 3 knobs were left in the body when the active pre-amp circuits were removed.
The intonation is good.
The frets were dressed a few years ago.
No trades.
Price is firm.
