*Overview*
As a Manufacturing Engineer at Cover, you’ll play a pivotal role in redefining how homes are designed, built, and lived in by owning parts of the production process, developing unique assembly equipment, and working with Product Engineers to develop easy-to-assemble components.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring manufacturing improvement projects are executed on time, parts and assemblies produced meet quality targets, and production processes continuously improve.
At the same time, you’ll join a highly motivated and innovative group of people who are working to modernize a centuries-old industry.
*Role* * You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and designers to manufacture the components and assemblies necessary to achieve our precision assembly system.
* You must be flexible and communicative while reviewing and modifying engineering drawings, creating manufacturing processes, as well as tracking and improving product quality.
* You will design and implement production equipment, processes, and tooling.
* You will develop and implement reporting methods for live production progress tracking.
* You will work autonomously to solve production issues quickly and implement permanent corrective actions in a scrappy, but effective manner.
* Being part of a team that values autonomy and moving quickly * Involvement in every aspect of the manufacturing process from design to assembly *Experience* * Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field * Minimum 2 years experience developing processes, fixtures, and assembly equipment * Demonstrated experience collaborating with design engineers to optimize parts and assemblies for manufacturability * Experience with one or more of the following: * Robotic Assembly * Welding/Fastening * Inspection * Large Assembly Movements/Rigging * Working with line integrators to automate manual production processes * Manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while being flexible in the execution of those projects * Demonstrated history of producing impressive results in short timeframes with limited resources * Capable of working autonomously to identify production bottlenecks, root cause issues, and implement corrective actions Skills * Exceptional engineering and analytical skills * Able to create detail process flows * Proficient with root cause analysis and corrective action processes * Excellent verbal and written communication * Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Demonstrated ability to solve challenging problems both independently and as part of a team COMPENSATION All our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits.
The base cash salary for this position ranges from _$100,000 - $116,000_ per year.
