bassist available (Long Beach)

i currently am a lead vocalist/lead guitarist in a band but .

.
i have been playing around with the bass and am really enjoying it.
i'm totally a newb at it but, i have gear/transportation etc.
I would like to find some folks to play bass with but i would be starting from ground zero as far as set lists go.
if you are patient, or are just getting together for fun and not yet trying to take over the world i would like to hear from you.
i am open to anything in the pop, rock, hard rock, punk, blues, new wave, r and b, country, avant-garde area of life and will do originals or covers.
