Job Description: Job description Job Purpose: The Yard Hostler is responsible for the movement and spotting of containers to facilitate the needs of the warehouse sorting and processing material for shipment or storage.
The Yard Driver is also responsible for timely movements and thorough knowledge of on-hand inventory counts.
Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a neat and orderly yard oriented towards space efficiency Responsible for accounting for records involving container, seal and chassis numbers Must communicate and interact on a daily basis with the Warehouse Supervisor and comply with warehouse safety requirements Follow all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures Perform other job related duties as assigned Keep an inventory count of the number of containers sitting in the yard Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
