Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of trucks, including flatbed, roll off truck, and tractor-trailer
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Log book managing
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
- Communicate with dispatch to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and transportation regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements
- Proven experience in commercial driving
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Familiarity with various types of trucks, including flatbed, roll off truck, and tractor-trailer
- Knowledge of forklift operation and loading/unloading procedures preferred
- Excellent driving record with no traffic violations or accidents in the past two years
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to follow directions and navigate efficiently using GPS or maps
