We are looking for a reliable, qualified driver/helper to both do deliveries and help around the shop when there are no deliveries to be done including but not limited to: packing of trucks, securing loads, operating large vehicles (26’ box truck/flatbed) and organization of the shop.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills along with a willingness to follow directions, take initiative, and learn new skills.

*Essential Functions* * Pick up and deliver materials and finished goods while maintaining safe driving tactics * Load and unload trucks securely * Maintain the shop stock and Shipping and Receiving areas through organization of shop material as it arrives, keeping shipping and receiving areas organized and decluttered and also putting away project materials once projects return from loadout * Keep vehicles clean and operational/assist with vehicle maintenance when necessary *Qualifications* Experience Driving both small and large cargo vans up to 16', flatbed trucks and 26’ box trucks Strapping and securing loads Valid Driver’s license class C and reliable transportation MUST be able to provide a DMV copy of driving records Forklift experience *Knowledge & Abilities* Working knowledge of: * Safely securing loads before making deliveries * Knowledge of vehicle maintenance * Ability to operate large vehicles (26’ box truck/flatbeds) and forklift * General safety precautions and procedures, including proper lifting techniques Ability to: * Communicate effectively both orally and in writing * Observe legal and defensive driving techniques while operating motor vehicles * Consistently report to work or job site on time with required tools and materials as directed * Work in a proficient, thorough, and timely manner both independently and as part of a team * Effectively and safely operate large vehicles(26’ box truck/flatbed), forklift, basic hand and power tools if needed Work Environment & Physical Demands: Environment: * Indoor and outdoor environments which are subject to changing conditions such as noise, vibrations, job hazards, and other atmospheric conditions * Regular exposure to fumes, dust, odors, heights, vibrations, and loud noises * Driving a vehicle or forklift to conduct work * Working in direct contact with project managers, shop managers, and other staff Physical Demands: * Work in this classification is considered medium physical work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects * Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling object(s) weighing up to 50 pounds * Standing and walking for extended periods of time * Reaching overhead, above the shoulders, and horizontally * Occasional bending, kneeling, and crouching * Clarity of vision at varying distances to perform work assignments * Verbal, auditory, and written capabilities required for effective communication The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to time.
