Have you noticed that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have become the best performing asset class of the past decade? It's true.
Maybe it's time for you to invest a portion of your net worth into these incredible assets, even just as a hedge against inflation and other market risks.
Now is a good time for the following reasons:
There is a high probability that the first Bitcoin Spot ETF will be approved in January of 2024
The next Bitcoin "Halving" event (when the difficulty of mining Bitcoin doubles) in April, 2024.
BOTH of these factors, and several others, are very likely to add significant upward pressure on the price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
If you are looking for help getting started, you've found the right guy.
I bought my first Bitcoin in 2013 for $100.
One Bitcoin is worth around $43,000 today.
During 2013 and 2014 I was a bitcoin "Miner".
I'll teach you what that means.
In 2020 I bought a Bitcoin for $4,000.
.
.
one year later, I spent half of a bitcoin to buy my 28ft boat, called the Crypto Cruiser (the price of Bitcoin was $58,000 at the time).
First, some general education:
Since Bitcoin was created in 2009, more Bitcoins have been "created" by the system every 10 minutes.
The questions are "How many?" and "Who gets them?".
"How Many" is answered by the Bitcoin Halving Schedule.
In short, every 4 years the number of Bitcoins created in a 10 minute period is cut in HALF.
So in 2009 there were 50 new Bitcoins every 10 minutes, then 4 years later there were only 25 new bitcoins created every 10 minutes.
.
.
then 4 years later, there were 12.
5, and now there are 6.
25 new bitcoins created every 10 minutes.
In April of 2024, this number will decrease to 3.
125, which will further restrict the supply of new Bitcoins.
Every time a Halving has happened in the past (all 3 times), the price of Bitcoin has increased about 10x within about 12-16 months of the Halving date.
To answer the 2nd questions of "Who gets the new bitcoins every 10 minutes", the best way I can explain that in simple terms is with an analogy.
Image the game of "Corn Hole", where you throw a beanbag into a simple round hole.
Now, imagine a ridiculously complicated hole that changes shape every 10 minutes.
Now imagine trillions of weirdly shaped beanbags being thrown at the weirdly shaped hole.
The first beanbag to get inside the hole in a 10 minute window, wins all of the bitcoins for that 10 minutes, then the shape of the hole changes again and the game resets.
That said, the more beanbags you can throw, the better your odds of successfully getting the first one in the hole, and receiving the reward.
This is essentially what miners do, using computers that are extremely powerful (and hot/costly to run).
.
.
they throw trillions of virtual beanbags at the virtual hole.
On a more technical level, the machines are essentially trying to guess a ridiculously complex password using the equivalent of a brute-force attack, but I think the beanbags are a better visual.
Bitcoin is open-sourced, which means it cannot be hacked, as a system, only individual wallets can be lost, if owners do not properly protect their "private keys" or in other words, their passwords to their personal digital crypto wallets, since these cannot be recovered.
I will help make sure you properly protect your crypto.
Bitcoin cannot be shut down.
It is not run or controlled by any government, company, or person.
That being said, if you need help buying and/or storing your first Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, here is what I'll do for you.
1) We'll have a phone call, then most likely meet in person so you know that I'm real and not a scammer.
We can even meet on my boat if you'd like, which I purchased with Bitcoin, it's called the Crypto Cruiser lol.
2) I'll answer your questions and help educate you further about Bitcoin and some of the other top cryptocurrencies.
3) I'll help you safely purchase a small amount of your crypto of choice.
4) I'll explain the benefits of having your own hardware "cold-storage" wallet, and if you desire, I'll help you purchase one directly from the manufacturer, and set it up properly using best practices for storing your "Seed Phrase".
We can discuss compensation, depending upon your needs.
For basic consultation, I charge $400 per hour.
If you're interested in a more long-term engagement where you can contact me any time with questions or future help, I prefer to charge a small percent of your profits.
We can discuss further in person or on the phone.
I offer custodial services as well, for a percent of profits in the future.
Crypto is an incredible asset class, but the price volatility makes it difficult for some people to handle.
I will teach you to buy and hold for a minimum of 2 years (or HODL as we crypto-nerds prefer to call it).
Just be prepared for a wild ride.
This is not financial advice.
