*Summary*
The After School Anti- Smoking Facilitator facilitates programs at various high schools throughout the city of Los Angeles.
Sessions are held one day per week at multiple school sites.
Works at school sites under the supervision of the Program Coordinator and works with liaison, site staff, and Program Traveling Mentors.
Attends training and coaching sessions.
Attends collaborative meetings every Friday.
This position will be assigned to multiple school sites and therefore the facilitator must be willing to drive to different school sites in Los Angeles.
*Responsibilities*
Sessions: Students participate in sessions using a project-based curriculum that includes leadership, self-reflection arts and crafts activities, and a community service project.
These activities, are scheduled regularly throughout the school year during the after-school program.
Service-Learning Project/ Campaign: Project-related activities such as learning to write a business letter, email, or make a business call to engage a local community partner.
Creating a school wide campaign on their school campus.
Culminating Event: There will be a culminating activity held during the last session.

Detailed Responsibilities
* Responsible for facilitation of Anti- Smoking lessons to groups of high school students.
* Lead Ice Breakers/Curriculum and Educational Activities when needed.
* Responsible for carrying and organizing all supplies for the program.
* Responsible for picking up supplies from Main Office and Warehouse.
* Responsible for ordering food at each session.
* Responsible for all program documenting (Student Registration forms, Student Sign in and out forms, and Field Trip paperwork)
* Works at school sites under the supervision of Program Coordinator and works with Site staff.
* Attends training- meetings and coaching sessions.
* Participate in weekly meetings /conference calls with Program Coordinator, Traveling Mentors, Site Coordinators, and Facilitators to facilitate effective program implementation.
*Job Requirements*
* Must be available Monday-Thursday 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM and Friday 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM (Schedule may be adjusted due to early dismal and BTB/EduCare Meetings)
* Reliable method of transportation and a valid driver’s license.
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Experience working with pre-teens, teens, and young adults.
* Bilingual Preferred, English/Spanish.
* Proficient in MS Word and other computer skills
* Must clear a Department of Justice & FBI criminal background check Must provide verification of negative TB status dated within the past 60 days or 4 yrs if continually working in a CA school
*Compensation*
* You will be paid for up to three hours (3) each session at $23 per hour.
This encompasses the session itself, preparation, and post-session room clean-up.
* Travel time will only be compensated for travel to and from the Van Nuys Central Office for supplies pick up
* You will be reimbursed for mileage at $0.
65 per mile, please submit your Mileage Reimbursement Form during the first week of the month for the previous month’s mileage.
